Without an account

The trip calculator works without signing up. Your trucks and compared loads are saved in your own browser, not on our servers. Place searches and routes are sent to our server so we can look them up.

What we collect when you sign up

• Your name, email, mobile phone, role (driver, owner-operator, dispatcher, broker or shipper), and optionally your company and MC / DOT number
• The MC / DOT numbers you check with the broker / carrier check
• Any lane rates you report: the two cities, miles, rate, equipment and load date. These are shown to other users only as averages across at least three separate reports, never on their own and never with your name. You can list and delete your own reports at any time from the Lane rates tab.
• When you signed up and last visited

How we use it

• To run your account and the broker / carrier check
• To understand who uses TruckRadar so we can improve it
• Marketing calls, texts or emails only if you ticked the consent box at signup. We record the exact wording you agreed to, and when. You can withdraw consent at any time.

What we don't do

• We don't ask for passwords - sign-in uses a code sent to your email
• We don't store session tokens in readable form

Funding (optional)

TruckRadar is free. If you choose to chip in, the payment is taken by Stripe on Stripe's own pages - we never see or store your card details. Stripe tells us the amount, the currency and the email you gave them, which we keep as a record of the contribution. Contributions are voluntary, buy no features, and are not tax-deductible. A monthly contribution can be cancelled at any time from the receipt Stripe emails you, or by contacting us. How much time you spend using TruckRadar is counted in your own browser only, to decide when to show the funding message - it is never sent to us.

Services we rely on

Cloudflare (hosting and database), OpenRouteService and OSRM (routing), Photon / OpenStreetMap (place search and map), the U.S. EIA (fuel prices), the National Weather Service (weather alerts) and FMCSA public data (broker / carrier records), and Stripe (payments, only if you choose to contribute).
